PACKERS FAMILY NIGHT Presented by Fox 11 and Benefiting Wendy's Wonderful Kids
The Green Bay Packers are proud to partner with the Dave Thomas Foundation and Wendy's Wonderful Kids and Adoption Resources of Wisconsin for this year's Packers Family Night!
The Green Bay Packers believe that every child deserves a family, so we welcomed the opportunity this year to support our sponsors' comprehensive commitments to adoption and foster care.
The Dave Thomas Foundation created Wendy's Wonderful Kids to move thousands of children into supportive and comforting adoptive homes. Adoption Resources of Wisconsin, also a partner of Wendy's Wonderful Kids, serves more than 8000 Wisconsin children who have been adopted and the 500 still awaiting safe, loving homes.
Together, these organizations help create forever families across our Wisconsin communities and beyond.
The MACC Fund, Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, Inc.
The MACC Fund raises funds for pediatric cancer and blood disorder research like sickle cell anemia and aplastic anemia in Wisconsin. Successful research conducted here has a positive impact across the nation in increased cure rates. The MACC Fund has played an important role in the increase in the overall cure rate for childhood cancer from 20% to 80% in the past 32 years. Since its inception in 1976, the MACC Fund has contributed $34 million to research with long-term commitments taking that number to $40 million. The primary beneficiary of MACC Fund support is the Medical College of Wisconsin. The research is conducted in its 6-story MACC Fund Research Center of the Medical College of Wisconsin. Research support is also provided to the Paul P. Carbone Comprehensive Cancer Center of the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Upon completion this summer, the research will be conducted in the University's MACC Fund Pediatric Cancer Research Wing. The MACC Fund also supports translational / clinical research in the MACC Fund Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.
