PACKERS FAMILY NIGHT Presented by Fox 11 and Benefiting Wendy's Wonderful Kids

2009 Info:
What: Ninth Packers Family Night, Presented by Fox 11 and benefiting Wendy's Wonderful Kids Program.
When/Where:
- Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, Lambeau Field.
- Evening activities get underway in the stadium at 5:30 p.m., followed by on-field football drills at 6:30 and the scrimmage at approximately 7:45.
Sponsors:
- Fox 11 is the presenting sponsor.
- Other sponsors include Wendy's, Chili's and Copps-Pick 'N Save.
Features/Activities:
- On-field football drills and an intra-squad scrimmage between the Packers' offense and defense.
- Copps-Pick 'N Save Family Night Picnic: In Lambeau Field's east-side parking lot from 12:30 to 6 p.m. Food items priced at $1, including corn on the cob, Johnsonville Brats, Nicolet Water and Kemps Popsicles. Proceeds will go the Roundy's Foundation (Roundy's is the parent company of Copps and Pick 'N Save) to support non-profit organizations working in the areas of hunger relief, families in crisis (intervention and prevention of neglect and abuse) and literacy.
- Chili's Jersey-Off-Our-Backs Promotion: Packers once again be giving away Family Night used jerseys to lucky fans in attendance.
- Copps-Pick 'N Save Fireworks: The evening will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display to celebrate the 90th birthday of the franchise.
- Kemps Packers Experience: this year featuring expanded offerings.
- Sidewalk Chalk Area/Sidewalk Chalk Artist: Chalk artist will create chalk art in front of the Oneida Nation Gate, Verizon Gate and in the plaza. Area in front of Oneida Nation Gate will be blocked off for kids to create their own sidewalk masterpieces.
- Kids' Activities: In concourse during scrimmage, including craft area, airbrush tattoos, eye black, tape wrists, sign making, G-Force tattoos, clowns with balloons, photo ops in Atrium (10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.), chalkboard areas - four locations on first level concourse, four locations on second level concourse.
- Pop Warner Football scrimmage on field at 5:55 p.m.
- Giant board game on field at 6:15: Fans help needed to play.
- Dance performance: Green Bay Elite-Cheerleaders
- Las Vegas-style parachute team
- Birthday cupcakes at Lambeau Field concession stands.
Tickets:
- Tickets are priced at $10 and available through Ticketmaster, online, over the phone and in person. Ticketmaster fees will apply.
- A direct link to online ticket sales information can be found by clicking here.
- Over the phone, tickets can be purchased by calling Ticketmaster toll-free sales number at 800/745-3000. The toll-free Ticketmaster Express number, 866/448-7849, also can be used. It is a self-service information line utilizing an automated system. A TDD (Telecommunications Device for the Deaf) number also is available at 877/474-4TDD.
- In-person sales will be conducted at a number of Ticketmaster locations, including Boston Store locations in Brookfield, Glendale, Greendale, Janesville, Madison, Milwaukee, Racine and Wauwatosa. Other in-person locations are Younker's in Green Bay and the Milwaukee Theatre.
- The Packers' ticket office at Lambeau Field also is an option for in-person purchases.
Parking:
- Parking for the event will be $5, with 100 percent of the net proceeds to be donated to the Packers' 'Family Night' partner, the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, to support its Wendy's Wonderful Kids foster care adoption program in Wisconsin.
- Due to the potentially large number of people attending, parking will be limited. Please plan to arrive early.
Television:
- For fans not attending the event, it will be televised in Green Bay on WLUK-TV FOX 11, as well as on WITI-TV in Milwaukee, WMSN-TV in Madison, WFXS-TV in Wausau and WLAX-TV in La Crosse. Hosted by Drew Smith and other members of the Fox 11 sports and news staffs, the live broadcast will start at 6:30 p.m.
Day's Timeline:
- 10:30 a.m. - Parking lot opens; Atrium, Packers Pro Shop and other Atrium businesses open.
- 10:30 a.m. - Packers Experience presented by Kemps opens in Tundra Tailgate Zone (closes at 8 p.m.)
- 12:30 p.m. - Copps-Pick 'N Save Family Night Picnic in east side parking lot (ends at 6 p.m.)
- 2 p.m. - Sidewalk Chalk area open at Oneida Nation Gate on stadium's east side.
- 3:30 p.m. - Atrium closes to prepare for evening.
- 4:30 pm. - Atrium opens to ticketed attendees for Family Night.
- 5:30 p.m. - Gates to seating area open, Family Night activities begin; Highlights film.
- 5:55 p.m. - Pop Warner Football on field.
- 6:15 p.m. - Giant board game on field.
- 6:30 p.m. - Packers begin football drills.
- 6:40 p.m. - Dance performance by Green Bay Elite Cheerleaders.
- 6:55 p.m. - TundraLine performs.
- 7:15 p.m. - Oneida Nation Dancers.
- 7:30 p.m. - Team introduced, followed by National Anthem.
- 7:45 p.m. (approximately) - Packers introduced, scrimmage begins.
- Post-scrimmage - Lambeau Field fireworks display, Family Night ends.
